I see lots of Bittrex
Exchange user filling in complains on daily basis both in their tweeter handle,
Telegram and other social platform about their accounts. Most complains usually
seen are either 2FA removal or Account been disabled. Well with my experience
on the trading platform I realized that there are procedures required before
any case can be quickly resolved. And in this post, I will be sharing with you
how you can handle this and get your account back ASAP.
Before I proceed, you
have to understand that Bittrex handle every cases strictly because it has to
do with financial issue and so releasing any account to the wrong person is
what they are trying to kick against. So it is always better to keep your
account save especially if you have huge fund in it.
How to Keep your Account Save.
1.
After creating your account and enabling
2FA, ensure to copy the secret key and keep it in a secure location where you
can easily access it should you lose the GA in your device.

You can also screen shot the barcode and
save it properly either in your local disk or flash as the screen shot can
still work.
3.
Most importantly, try as much as possible
to create your account API. When creating the API, enable all modes, copy the
API into note pad or word document and save it.
With that said, if you
did not do any of the first two and your account locks you out, don’t panic, simply
logon to Bittrex and write to the support. This is usually the first step but
not all. Now here is the first secret. Since you have your account API created
from the beginning, go to play store and down load my bittrex wallet or trex
tracker, use the API key and secret to create an account in any of the
mentioned apps.
If you have successfully
created the account, it will show you all the details of your account including
withdrawal, deposits and balances. Remember Bittrex always asks of those
details as part of their requirements and so if you can provide the exact
details, the unlocking process of your account will be faster.
With that done, after
creating your first support ticket, Bittrex will reply immediately asking you
to provide some necessary details for prove and verification. Below are the
details of what you will be asked to provide.
“If you need two-factor removed after
troubleshooting please reply with the following information, the
more details you can provide the better:
1) Recent ip addresses you
have logged into site with (You can find this by visiting, https://www.google.com/#q= what+is+my+ip+address )
2) Recent transaction ids for any withdrawals and deposits you have made to Bittrex
3) Recent balances in your account

For Accounts valued at over
$1000 USD we will require additional information for proof of identity.
4)2 forms of government
identification and a selfie of you holding one of those identifications where
we can match your face. Please also write Bittrex and today's date on a piece
of paper and hold it in the picture. Please make sure the text on your ID is
readable in all photos. Note: This means we need all 3 things in 1 photo. You,
your ID, and the paper with Bittrex and the date on it. Also we do not accept
.pdf or zip files, or links to files.
Please reply to this email
with the required documents or attach them directly to your support ticket. We
understand this is a slow and painful way to recover your account, but we do
this for both your safety and ours.

Now that is the mail you will receive
from them. From the mail you can see that you were asked for recent withdrawal/deposits
and balances. With the trex tracker or my bittrex wallet, you can easily copy
those details and send to them.
The last thing to do. From their reply,
you can see that they said for accounts valued at over $1000, you will be asked
for further details. And they also stated that the more details you can provide
the better.
So it will be wise not to neglect that
part even if your account has less than $50, ensure to take a snapshot of
yourself, holding your ID card and a plan paper with the word Bittrex and today’s
date written boldly on it. If you provide all these details, then you can now
do a follow up.
Follow up strategy.
There are three most important strategies
to use for follow up.
1.
Use
your twitter handle, Go to twitter search for @BittrexExchange follow them, look for their recent tweet and
reply to it, ensure to respond if you get a reply back.
2.
You can also join
their telegram group and drop your message with your ticket no there

The last and most
powerful is their slack channel. Search for it on google on join using slack.bittrex.com/ then follow the chart and also drop your support ticket no
there. On the slack general room, look for the #support channel and ensure you
join the support channel because their response is faster there. The only
problem is the opening hour of the support channel so be alert to know when it
will be opened for users, then join and drop your complains but do that once because
you might be thrown out for spamming.
With this done, you are sure of getting
your account back within hours or few days rather than weeks.
